MJ Media Specialize in the marketing of prestigious high value villas in the Costa Del Sol, Southern Spain. The potential buyers were typically high value individuals with a desire to add to their portfolio of overseas properties.

 

Managing a small team of staff my role was to target agencies dealing specifically with this potential customer base and potential clients directly. This was achieved via highly targeted Direct Marketing activities bespoke to each potential client individually. There was also a small element of above the line advertising.

 

The creative agencies involved were an intrinsic albeit external part of our small team. As such part of my remit was to develop and monitor an extremely close relationship with such agencies.

  

Managing Director                         DBM Direct Ltd

As a founder member of this company I formed the growth and investment strategies that developed DBM Direct Limited into a significant player within the UK Database Management and Direct Marketing environment. DBM ‘s  turning over was in excess of £3.5m per annum with a full time staff base of 25 and part time 30.

 

My responsibilities while employed at DBM Direct Limited included the following activities:

 

  • Management of key clients
  • Generation of new business
  • Account management staff training
  • Senior staff recruitment and management
  • Budget allocation, implementation and monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with the Royal Mail
  • Day to day management of growing company

 

 

Although on face value my working experience has been on the supplier side, I became an external member of a number of client’s marketing departments. This involved working closely with them to manage budgets, develop strategies and working with external agencies outside DBM Direct’s involvement. As such I am equally able to work in the client or suppler environment

 

I have accumulated a clear understanding and knowledge of most aspects of Database Management and Direct marketing. This understanding extends to both the conceptual/strategy environment and the practical execution of the various processes.  This coupled with my experience in the management of staff and the generation of new business, I feel will make me a valuable member of a wide variety of Direct Marketing teams.
